As the inner layer material of the composite structure, the performance of the laminate-level CPP is closely related to its functions:
Low heat sealing temperature:
It can achieve rapid and firm heat sealing within a wide temperature range (usually starting from 120°C - 130°C), adapting to the production rhythm of high-speed packaging machines.
High heat sealing strength:
The seal is firm and can withstand the weight of the packaged contents and the impact during transportation, preventing package breakage.
Good heat adhesion:
Immediately after the heat sealing and before complete cooling, the seal already has a certain strength, preventing the contents from bursting the seal during filling.
Excellent water vapor barrier:
It can effectively prevent external water vapor from entering and also prevent the loss of content moisture, making it an excellent moisture-proof layer.
Good resistance to oil:
It has good barrier ability against oil, suitable for the packaging of oily foods (such as fried snacks, nuts, and cooked foods).
Although the optical performance is usually slightly inferior to BOPP, the stretch film process still ensures that it has good transparency and glossiness, meeting the visual requirements of most inner layer materials.
The un-stretched structure makes its texture soft, with better resistance to low-temperature impact and drop performance than BOPP, especially less prone to cracking in frozen packaging.
