Laminate Level CPP

Laminate level CPP film is an important category in casting polypropylene films, specifically designed for bonding with other packaging materials. Its core function is to serve as the heat-sealing inner layer of packaging bags, providing excellent heat sealing performance, barrier properties, and resistance to contents.


CPP has not undergone biaxial stretching, so its molecular chains are disordered. This results in its lower rigidity, strength, and barrier properties compared to BOPP, but it endows it with the characteristics of being soft, impact-resistant, and most importantly, capable of direct heat sealing.


The reliable, efficient and strong heat sealing function provided by the laminate level CPP film is the foundation for the establishment of any finished packaging bag. Main Performance Features of Laminate Level CPP Film

As the inner layer material of the composite structure, the performance of the laminate-level CPP is closely related to its functions:


1. Excellent heat sealing performance

  • Low heat sealing temperature:

    It can achieve rapid and firm heat sealing within a wide temperature range (usually starting from 120°C - 130°C), adapting to the production rhythm of high-speed packaging machines.

  • High heat sealing strength:

    The seal is firm and can withstand the weight of the packaged contents and the impact during transportation, preventing package breakage.

  • Good heat adhesion:

    Immediately after the heat sealing and before complete cooling, the seal already has a certain strength, preventing the contents from bursting the seal during filling.


2. Excellent barrier performance

  • Excellent water vapor barrier:

    It can effectively prevent external water vapor from entering and also prevent the loss of content moisture, making it an excellent moisture-proof layer.

  • Good resistance to oil:

    It has good barrier ability against oil, suitable for the packaging of oily foods (such as fried snacks, nuts, and cooked foods).


3. Good transparency and glossiness

  • Although the optical performance is usually slightly inferior to BOPP, the stretch film process still ensures that it has good transparency and glossiness, meeting the visual requirements of most inner layer materials.


4. Softness and impact resistance

  • The un-stretched structure makes its texture soft, with better resistance to low-temperature impact and drop performance than BOPP, especially less prone to cracking in frozen packaging.


5. Chemical inertness and hygiene safety

  • Non-toxic and odorless, in line with strict food and drug contact material standards of the US FDA, EU, etc.
